All-new content added to platform conceived to inspire customers looking for the perfect deal on holidays
icelolly.com has today announced details of major changes to the Destination Guides section of its website. The revamped pages enjoy a fresher look and feel, incorporating bold colours, striking imagery and a host of curated content that captures the aspirational aspect of going on holiday.
The enhanced pages simplify the research process for customers looking to book with the UK’s leading travel companies via icelolly.com. Rather than relying on search engines in an effort to find out more about a specific destination, the incredible breadth and depth of content allows customers to conduct all the research they need before making a booking.
880 pages covering all 22 of the company’s most searched holiday destinations, including Benidorm and Amsterdam, and delve more deeply into the detail than ever before to give customers a true insight into what they can expect before they travel.
Providing an overview of each destination with dedicated sub-sections and giving more in-depth information on popular resorts, the Guides feature a comprehensive range of hints and tips. These range from general information to descriptions of surrounding areas, the type of beach a customer will find, sightseeing opportunities and what to expect by way of local cuisine. Each destination page also includes an infographic that highlights travel essentials such as the currency used and the language spoken.
The pages even advise customers of the average price of a three course meal and the cost of a beer in each destination, allowing them to budget for any additional costs they might incur while abroad accordingly.
All Destination Pages will soon be dynamically interfaced to icelolly’s all-new Pricing Calendar, which will allow customers to compare year-round prices to their destination of choice. An interactive graph displays the average monthly price of a deal over a 12 month period, and customers can access the full day-by-day pricing simply by clicking on the relevant monthly column. While currently available for the top 20 resort destinations, the functionality will be rolled-out across all destinations over the next few months.
Richard Singer, CEO, icelolly.com, said: “As a business, we consider the customer journey in everything that we do, and ensuring they get the very best user experience when visiting icelolly.com is paramount.
“Our new Destination Guides have been reimagined to offer inspiration to our customers, giving them the opportunity to learn more about their destination of choice or discover new destinations they might not have previously considered.
“By breaking destination details down into manageable bites, our Destination Guides feature more useful information than ever before, displayed in an attractive, easy-to-read format. Together with our enhanced Deals search function, I’m delighted that our customers can now do all the research they need and then book the deal that’s right for them in just one place.”
